2025 Division I Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Championship

The official event dates have been announced for both Men’s & Women’s NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. Sports Fan Ivan Buxton Gay Jr. shares the details:

Men’s Cross Country

The NCAA Division I Cross Country Championship will take place November 22, 2025 at Gans Creek Cross Country in Columbia, MO.  Of course, it is too early to say who will participate in this year’s event, as students are still training and preparing for the upcoming event.  Last year, Brigham Young University (BYU) took the cake at Thomas Zimmer Cross Country Course in Madison, WI on Saturday, November 23rd.  Events hosted included the Men’s 10,000m and the Women’s 6,000m.

Women’s Cross Country

The NCAA Division I Cross Country Championship for Women will also take place on November 22nd.  Last year, the Brigham Young University (BYU) women won the national title.  Leading ladies included Doris Lemngole, Pamela Kosgei and Hilda Olemomoi.  Behind BYU followed West Virginia University (WVU) and Providence College (PC). 

Future Championship Sites — 2025

The 2025 National Championship will be hosted in Missouri.  Leading up to the main event, there will be various regional championships hosted across the country.  Sites for the championships include:

  • Great Lakes: Evansville 
  • Mid-Atlantic: Lehigh
  • Midwest: Oklahoma tate
  • Mountain: Utah
  • Northeast: Hopkinton State Fairground in Contoocoock, NH
  • South: North Alabama
  • South Central: Arkansas
  • Southeast: Virginia
  • West: Sacramento State

2025 NCAA Division II and Division III Men’s Golf Championship Finals

Sunny skies and warm weather set the stage for the finals at the NCAA Division II and Division III Men’s Golf Championships, May 19 – 23, 2025. Ivan Buxton Gay Jr. shares the sport event details:

Ivan Buxton Gay Jr. is a fan of all things NCAA Sports.  While he mostly prefers to follow the college sports careers of prospective future professional athletes in the NHL, NBA, MLB and NFL, Ivan also enjoys following NCAA sports like golf, lacrosse, outdoor track & field, tennis, softball, rowing, field hockey, volleyball, soccer, water polo and cross country.

NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships

The 2025 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships will be held May 19 – 23, 2025 at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.  The first match-up saw a win from St. Mary’s, with Florida Southern and Lee following closely behind.  Day 2 saw team leaders Missouri S&T, followed by West Florida and again, St. Mary’s. 

NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships

The 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship will be held May 20 – 23, 2025 at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, New York.  D3 kicked up the heat, with team leaders including Illinois Wesleyan at 290, followed by a tie between John Carroll and Carleton at 294.  The NCAA D3 championship format includes forty-three teams and ten individuals in the selection.  In 2024, Methodist’s Steve Conley took the win with a score of 1,131. 

Ivan’s 2025 NCAA Golf Championships Review

Ivan Buxton Gay Jr. has high hopes for the 2025 NCAA Golf Championships in both D2 and D3 leagues.  This year in D2, he has his eye on Colorado Christian, who he expects big plays from.  In D3, he’s curious to see if Illinois Wesleyan will bring the heat again… But only time will tell!
